Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions guests ask before visiting JAM JAM, the brunch cafe in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul: reservations, opening hours, parking, signature dishes and language support.

  • Can I book a table at JAM JAM?

Yes — book online through CatchTable Global. Walk-ins are welcome when seats are free, but as the longest-running brunch cafe in Yeonnam-dong it draws a queue at the weekend brunch peak (11:00–14:00), so a reservation is recommended. For anything urgent, call +82-10-3796-3176.
  • What are the opening hours?

Saturday and Sunday 10:00–22:00; Monday to Friday 10:00–21:00 — 11 to 12 hours a day, every day, from morning brunch through evening dessert. Temporary closures are posted on Instagram @jamjam.cafe.
  • First visit — what should I order?

The French Avocado (₩16,000) and the Pancake Plate (₩15,500) are the two most-ordered brunches. The Pancake Plate is the French Avocado plus the doughnut-shaped pancake, so one plate covers both signatures on a first visit. Add the black sesame latte (₩6,500) for coffee.
  • What is the doughnut-shaped pancake?

It is JAM JAM's pancake, baked as a ring instead of stacked as discs. The shape is what took the cafe viral on social media. Order it as dessert (House Pancake, ₩11,000) or as brunch (Pancake Plate, ₩15,500).
  • What black sesame items do you serve?

Two: the black sesame latte (₩6,500) and the black sesame croissant (₩8,000). Black sesame is a distinctly Korean ingredient, and these two are the signatures that kept the cafe's name in Yeonnam-dong for years.
  • What is the room like, and the seating?

A European-style room built around soft sofas and generous tables rather than narrow chairs that move you along. There is terrace seating too, so brunch goes outdoors in good weather. If you want a brunch cafe you can sit and talk in, this one fits.
  • How about parking and public transport?

There is no dedicated car park, so use one of the nearby public lots. The cafe sits inside the Yeonnam-dong backstreets, so public transport is easier: from Hongik Univ. Station (Line 2 / AREX / Gyeongui–Jungang) Exit 3, walk up the Gyeongui Line Forest Park. Gajwa Station (Gyeongui–Jungang) and Mangwon Station (Line 6) also work.
  • Is there an English, Japanese or Chinese menu?

Every dish carries its English name on the in-store menu, and this site is available in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese. Word of the cafe has travelled to Japan and China, so overseas guests are routine here and ordering from photos works fine.
